THE LIMIT \”A Little Like Dying\”
This was going to be a very negative and angry blog about what the issues in rock music are today…that is, what is left of rock music…and believe me, things are not okay. It will be difficult to avoid not adding negative aspects into the mix if only to compare and contrast the difference between honest artists and the contrived “I wanna be a rock star,” “pseudo rock,” fabricators.
Overall, I have tried rejecting my original intention in place for a positive longing for true rock, classic rock, some punk (no mall punk, please) and what is near and dear to me, grunge music….all trends aside while facing some hard historical facts and a harsh reality. ALL TRENDS ASIDE….I feel I am a bit young to relate to and not a schooled practitioner of fashion trends to directly connect or supplement this blog with ones commonly associated with the music. (example: Leg Warmers and Van Halen) ….so….
IT’S ALL ABOUT THE MUSIC….and it’s all about building it from the underground up!!!
Questions #1 and #2 What the hell is going on with Rock Music today and where is it in large numbers now?
